Polite Paws provides basic behavior classes to teach your dog cues, increase your bond, socialize your dog, and provide fun activities to participate in with your dog. BASIC MANNERS AND CUES
- TUESDAYS, JAN 6, 13, 20, 27 at 6pm (FULL) or 7pm (FULL)
- COST: $105
- WHERE: Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, 3020 Hillegas Road
- INCLUDES: Four classes (50 minutes each) including basic behavior training, friendly dog and human interactions, and healthy dog parent habits. Cues include touch, sit, down, stay, and recalls.
- REQUIREMENTS: For dogs ages 6 months and up. Must have current DHPP, rabies, and bordetella vaccinations. No reactivity (lunging, barking, growling) to other dogs or people; reach out about a private session for these issues.
PUPPY

- INCLUDES: Puppy playtime, socialization exercises, and discussions on common puppy issues.
- REQUIREMENTS: For pups ages 8 weeks to 5 months old with a minimum of one round of DHLPP
ADVANCED MANNERS AND CUES

- INCLUDES: Four classes (one hour each) including advanced behavior training, tailored to you and your dog’s needs. Cues can include touch, sit, down, stay, watch me, leave it, drop it, recalls, loose leash walking, heeling, threshold training, relaxation, and station training.
- PREREQUISITE: Puppy or Basic Manners and Cues course with Polite Paws.
- REQUIREMENTS: For dogs ages 6 months and up. Must have current DHPP, rabies, and bordetella vaccinations. No reactivity (lunging, barking, growling) to other dogs or people.
KID’S HANDLING

- AGES: 7-15, adult required to be present

- INCLUDES: Four classes (one hour each) and will cover basic behavior training, friendly dog and human interactions, and healthy dog parent habits at a simple and fun pace, programmed for kids!
- REQUIREMENTS: For dogs ages 4 months and up. Must have current DHPP, rabies, and bordetella vaccinations. No reactivity (lunging, barking, growling) to other dogs or people.
